3D Minecraft Grass Block
I worked on these for weeks before my kids Minecraft themed birthday party. I love how they turned out. The kids at the party thought they were awesome and now that the party is over they make great stacking blocks for playing with all their new Minecraft Toys.
Minecraft blocks are made in 16×16 pixels which is perfect for Perler Beads, not too big, not too small. I made 6 of these grass blocks. I ran out of beads at least twice. Thank goodness for Amazon and fast shipping!
The pixelated food items I made were a carrot, gold bar, snowball, watermelon, raw fish, slime ball, cookie, and red apple. These were put on sticks so that they could be propped on top of the grass blocks for an original cake table decoration.
Here’s what they looked like all laid out on our Minecraft Cake Table! As you can see I only used 6 of my 8 Minecraft food items, I couldn’t find the right fish candy and I didn’t want to put carrots out on the cake table. The snowballs are mini marshmallows. For the gold bar I used Rolo candy. The apples are Cherry Sour Chew Candy.
Another great resource for bulk candy is OldTimeCandy.com.
