The Lorax Birthday Party
Hosting a Lorax themed birthday party for your little one? My daughter turned 2 when we threw her this adorable Lorax party.
I didn’t try to make an elaborate cake for this party like I usually do, these simple Truffula tree cupcakes were perfect. I printed and cut out these tree toppers on colorful card stock paper then used a cheap stamp set from the dollar aisle at Target for the “Two”. Don’t forget the striped paper straws! The cupcakes were piped with green buttercream icing using Wilton #233, grass tip.
I attempted to have some healthy snacks available to the kids at the party. I sliced oranges and strawberries, placed green apples on the dessert table, and had grapes in bright silicone cupcake liners. Not pictured, I set up a trail mix bar with teddy grahams, Swedish Fish and marshmallows to represent the characters and their favorite snack!
The Lorax’s mustache is his most prominent feature, the kids loved using these photo props! I printed the mustaches off on yellow card stock and attached to popsicle sticks.
You could make mustaches out of perler beads, of course! This is my original pattern for The Lorax mustache photo prop. You could also include some very cute Lorax themed perler bead key chains or have the kids make their own at the party!

If you’re buying your party supplies online I highly recommend using Ebates! It’s such an easy way to save money on the things you are already going to buy. I have a plugin on my browser that asks if I want to activate Ebates cash back every time I visit an online store that has it. It’s crazy how many places do! All the major retailers do it. It’s so easy to sign up. I’d appreciate it if you follow my link, I’ll get a referral fee 😀
